The home of the Southern Bluefin Tuna, Portland see's anglers travel from around Australia to try and test their skill and tackle against mighty Bluefin tuna. 
While Bluefin captures of 15-30kg's not uncommon there have been many barrell SBT's over 100kg caught with many more larger models lost after hours of battle. Lets not forget the "Chicken of the sea", the humble Albacore need not feel like a lesser species with captures of up to 40kg possible making this destination world class. 
While no sanctioned tournaments held in this part of the world,the possibilities for one to be held in Victoria's West looks bright as this future of this fishery grows from strength to strength,  Stay tuned...
